Hello!

I’m Yasmin. I’m a Psychotherapist/Counsellor, Psychology Educator, and Writer.

In this busy and changing world, it’s easy to feel alone, misunderstood, and fearful. I believe that many of us are feeling stuck in toxic cycles of comparison and anxiety, and sometimes it’s difficult to know where to turn for support. In my work with others as a Psychotherapist, and from my own personal experiences, I have witnessed the tremendous healing power that exists in telling our stories, understanding what they mean for us and how this can help us to go on to write a future of our own making. In my practice, I offer a safe exploration of your story and how you got to be you, your current struggles, hopes, and desires. I provide a compassionate space for those struggling with criticism, perhaps from others, maybe from themselves.

Experience

I have worked in mental health for over eight years, within the NHS, schools, private practice, and the charity sector. I have experience providing individual therapy for adults within community settings, including low cost counselling services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. I also have a vast amount of experience working therapeutically with young people. I worked as part of the NHS within the CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) for Surrey residents, providing emotional support and guidance for young people struggling with mental health issues and their families. I am also a Qualified Psychology Teacher and Tutor, which enables me to incorporate psycho-education into my work with clients. In 2017 I launched Well Minded, an education company providing workshops and courses on mental health for young people.
